I have been persuaded to attend the 55th at long last...sometimes I think I am the only one that stayed around Akron...not sorry I did though. I had a stellar career as an English teacher in the Akron Public Schools and now reap the benefits provided by the STRS. I could be lounging around, but instead have chosen an encore career at Concordia @ Sumner, a very large retirement community in Copley. I have worked there twelve years as part of the waitstaff, serving as the Terrace Room hostess, and principal floral designer over the years...it's a creative, physical, and social all at once.
I have one daughter, Susan, who is married to a family practice doctor and who recently moved back to Akron. I have four good looking grandchildren...Kate, Jack, Max, and Oliver.
Over the years, I have bought and renovated three houses. I have a strong interest in architecture and design.I am renovating a fourth house now with my husband, Don. I have traveled quite a bit, and recently started playing MahJongg so I have something to do when I get old, which is not now, right?
